The Most Useful AI Tools for Teachers and Educators

Artificial intelligence (AI) technology is gradually revolutionizing almost every industry, including education. AI tools have the potential to enhance teaching methods, simplify administrative tasks, and personalize the learning experience for students. We have gathered for you our favorite tools. Most of the resources below are free or have a free plan!

  1. Generating content

Eduaide is the best tool so far our director of Education has found for you. This super powerful resource can help you generate lessons, unit plans, activities, and many other tools. We cannot believe such a complete tool is free (for now). We encourage you to have a look at it!

2. Generating your slides

Spending more time on making the slides than actually looking for the content? This time is now over. AI can help you generate slides within a few seconds.

Gamma.app is by far our favorite. It will produce the slides for you based on a few keywords. It can also generates stunning web pages or word documents

On the other hand, Live It Earth may not be AI - but we've generated a whole ton of slides for you ;-)

3. Generate images

Find the perfect image to illustrate your lesson with AI. However, this functionality has raised up many copyright issues. For peace of mind, we suggest using Firefly (Beta), a software developed by the renowned company Adobe. The initial Firefly model is trained on Adobe Stock images, openly licensed content, and public domain materials where copyright has expired.

We generated the banner of this blog article with Firefly and also tried the function “Text Effects” on the text Live it Earth with the prompt “Fluffy pink hair” and “nature with autumn colors”. What do you think of the result?

4. For all your translations

Better than Google Traduction, Deepl Translator is an AI-powered and very reliable translator

5. Quizzes

Yippity can create quizzes and flashcards, just based on text or a URL. Wooow!

There are countless emerging applications of intelligent technology that have the potential to transform the way we teach and learn. With careful planning and design, you can ensure that your lesson plans and strategies are up to date with the latest trends and advancements

Advances in AI and hardware innovation are driving transformative changes in the field of education. These developments in artificial intelligence have opened opportunities for teachers and learners alike. While it’s essential for professionals to embrace change and adopt new technologies, we must also recognize that AI presents enormous challenges in terms of cultural and societal norms and values. We will go back to this is another article.

AI is called Artificial Intelligence and we should not forget the Artificial dimension of it. It does not (yet?) replace a human’s brain. But if it can generate your slides, and save teachers their precious time, there is no reason you should not use it.
