Caribou Creative Challenges: Reindeer Rockets and more!

The holidays are just around the corner and we know you may be looking for festive classroom activities to do with your students. So, in the spirit of giving, we wanted to share the creative challenges from our Caribou (a.k.a. reindeer) program.

Feel free to try a challenge or two. And if your students are keen about the ‘bou, you can find more exercises and info about them in the full program available on Live It Earth.

Challenge 1 - Reindeer Rockets

Try making a Reindeer Rocket. Using a paper tube or a straw, some string and a balloon, see if you can make your reindeer fly.

Challenge 2 - Shadow Drawings

Do a shadow drawing with a friend! Find some Antlers (they can be anything, even your hands) and then trace each other’s shadow. You can colour it in too!

Challenge 3 - Caribou Habitat

Create a caribou habitat. You can use anything you like. An old shoebox is a great option.
